WildHearts Awards Ceremony at the Houses of Parliament

Earlier this month, we hosted the annual WildHearts Schools Awards Ceremony at the Houses of Parliament, providing an unforgettable opportunity for school students and teachers to be recognised for their commitment and achievements throughout the school year. The event was a celebration of The WildHearts Schools Programme. Our schools programme provides a combination of entrepreneurial education, careers & employability training, sustainability workshops, and mental health support. Every element of the WildHearts Schools Programme is delivered free for all young people, because of WildHearts Corporate Partners.

The WildHearts Schools Programme’s mission is to inspire the next generation, providing young people with the inspiration, knowledge and networks they need to thrive. The atmosphere at the WildHearts Schools Awards Ceremony embodied this mission. School students and teachers networked with some of the world’s biggest brands, in a truly unique setting, with all parties aligned to the WildHearts vision of Business For Good.

We were delighted bring together inspirational school students and teachers from across The UK, alongside our closest supporters and partners – including Nestlé, Linklaters, Zurich, Siemens, BNP Paribas and Wesleyan.

Wajid Raja, Assistant Headteacher at Bourne End Academy collected this year’s Special Recognition Award, presented by Mark Wood, Schools & Corporate Citizen Manager at Siemens.

Wajid took this opportunity to share his experience of working with, what he describes as, “The most amazing schools partner.” He reflected on the highlights of his school experience throughout the academic year:

“Participating in the WildHearts Global Youth Summit, hosted and led by the wonderful staff at BNP Paribas in November, was among many especially memorable events.”

“The annual celebration at The Houses of Parliament was a wonderful end to the school year!”

Other schools that were recognised on the day included: Queen Anne’s School, Harris Academy Merton, Aston Manor Academy and Park High Stanmore.

The WildHearts Schools Award Ceremony was an unparalleled celebration of achievement and collaboration. Alongside our corporate partners, we are delighted to recognise the achievements of the next generation and their inspirational teachers.
